Mike is a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and the New York City Police Department, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant. Mike continued his service to the community, as a volunteer elected member and President of Community Education Council 31 (the School Board) and Board Member of the Staten Island YMCA.
Mike has been a tremendous resource, providing Cyberbullying - Digital Citizenship student assemblies and parent workshops that have inspired communities throughout the region.
Mike's presentations provide a unique approach. His delivery incorporating scenarios using humor and his real life experience as an NYPD Lieutenant, School Board President and Father of 3 school age children leaves a lasting impression on students, parents and staff members.
Mike leverages his over 30 years in law enforcement, government, and community engagement to collaborate on safety and security implementation.
His services include security surveys and safety plan analysis. Mike understands that Emergency Preparedness is an ongoing process that requires frequent practice and evaluation.
Mike facilitates safety meetings, emergency preparedness drills and table-top exercises, providing organizations support to improve their emergency response and preparedness protocols.
