![]() This morning I had the opportunity to visit P.S. 264 Bay Ridge Elementary School for The Arts to discuss #Bullying with the students. A few months ago I spoke with the students about#CyberSafety & #CyberBullying. Today we focused on face to face interactions. Our discussion included real life incidents that can have a variety of outcomes. Our reaction can play a pivotal role in how each person walks away from the interaction. Sometimes a little #Empathy and #Compassion can prevent a simple misunderstanding from escalating out of control. We touched on strategies to prevent things from spiraling out of control. The below photo was on the bulletin Board that illustrated student work through a "Growth Mindset". I couldn't help but notice that some of those highlights could transfer to our earlier discussion. Thank you Assistant Principal Mrs. Mousouroulis and Guidance Counselor Mrs. Issac for inviting me.
